What is an Edcamp?

Vision: Promoting organic, participant-driven professional development for K-12 educators worldwide.

Mission: To support free edcamp unconferences for educators to exchange ideas and learn together. Edcamps are:
  • free
  • non-commercial and conducted with a vendor-free presence
  • made up of sessions that are determined on the day of the event
  • events where anyone who attends can be a presenter
  • reliant on the “law of two feet” that encourages participants to find a session that meets their needs

What is a "Hosted Webinar?"

Learn from the professionals through ISTE's Technology In Practice webinar series, facilitated by AzTEA professionals.

(ISTE is the International Society for Technology in Education and AzTEA is the Arizona Technology in Education Association)

What is a webinar? It is a web-based seminar, accessed through a computer with Internet access.

What if I have never participated in a webinar? No problem! For these sessions, you will not even need a computer! We will watch the webinar together from one projected computer.

What about the sharing, learning, and discussion that happens when teachers gather together face to face? We are providing 30 minutes of time for you to do that. We will also show you how to access and watch webinars on your own, for future offerings.

Can I watch from home? No, not for this series. In the future we will have webinar offerings you will be able to view from wherever you like.

*If you would like us to come to your district to host a webinar, please contact Cherie Stafford, cstaffordtips@gmail.com

"4Teachers.org works to help you integrate technology into your classroom by offering online tools and resources. This site helps teachers locate and create ready-to-use Web lessons, quizzes, rubrics and classroom calendars. There are also tools for student use. Discover valuable professional development resources addressing issues such as equity, ELL, technology planning, and at-risk or special-needs students."

An online video editing tool where Flip videos can be uploaded for easy manipulation. Creaza also has a wonderful alternative for GarageBand and a rather incredible comic creator. (retrieved from: http://engage.intel.com/message/16625#16625)
